Rules of the Rainbow – Respect

For our first few blogs I thought we would post the Rules of the Rainbow, which of course can be found in the link at the top of almost every page. But this way, anyone who finds our brand new site can comment!

First and foremost, Suck The Rainbow requires that you have respect for the community as a whole, and show that respect to each individual that joins us here. We do not require that you agree with anyone about anything, and we do not require that anyone keep their opinion to themselves, in general. But we will not tolerate shutting down, shaming, or hate mongering from anyone, for any reason.

Not everyone is always going to agree, and that is fine. Disagree to your heart’s content, but do so with at least the minimal amount of respect you would show your fellow community members if you were face to face.

We are likely to cover many, many controversial or triggering topics here, including but not limited to race, religion, politics, and legal issues. These alone will likely keep the few of us currently working on Suck the Rainbow busy putting out fires. And that is before we even get to the use of pronouns, real and true (insert your kink here), or any number of very personal lifestyle topics.

Aren’t we the community of “open, honest, respectful communication”?  That is what we claim, after all.

We have enough problems from outside the community, let’s not make things worse by treating each other the same way they treat us. Please don’t make us waste our time dealing with drama BS and the fallout it creates.

Suck The Rainbow reserves the right at all times to silence and/or remove, either temporarily or permanently, any person who we believe is being detrimental to the community as a whole, without warning and without recourse.
